Join us for a second program in August, viewing the work of Atlanta textile artist and Georgia committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (GANMWA) Member, Sandy Teepen. A series of her contemporary quilts will be presented this month at Mason Fine Art's temporary pop-up space on Miami Circle.
Sandy is a true creative force, demonstrating tremendous output from her home in Midtown Atlanta. This home studio is filled with inspiration: "piles of fabric swatches, art and design books, torn magazine pages and photos tacked to the wall." The work on exhibition includes imagery taken from the iconic Dick and Jane reading primers that are integral to mid-century culture.
GANMWA members will get to hear directly from Sandy about her inspiration and practice.
